The Center for Sight – Surgical Services

At the Center for Sight, we offer patients a variety of surgical treatments including:

Cataracts –

Cataracts are usually caused by a cloudy lens that results in worsening vision over time, often with significant glare and halos around lights, especially at night. There have been tremendous surgical advances over the last 30 years resulting in rapid vision recovery after surgery with minimal surgical risks.

Glaucoma –

Glaucoma is caused by an increased pressure in the eye which results in optic nerve damage. Numerous classes of medications (eye drops) are available to lower the intraocular pressure. If eye drops are not sufficient or tolerated than a SLT laser will be utilized to improve drainage. By lowering the intraocular pressure, patients will have a better chance of maintaining their peripheral vision

Cosmetic and Reconstructive Eyelid Surgery –

Heavy, full eyelids, or drooping eyelids can interfere with peripheral vision or eyes may water excessively. We offer a variety of surgical procedures to improve your eyelid function and/or cosmetic appearance

Eyelid and Facial Tumors –

lid lesions that are changing in size, shape, or color can be benign, a precursor to malignancy or a malignancy. These lesions can be removed either in the office or surgical suite, along with lesion pathology and reconstruction if necessary

Retinal Dysfunction –

Retinal Dysfunction includes age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and vein occlusions. These are all vision-threatening retinal conditions that can be treated at our office with intravitreal injections and laser procedures
